PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate a highly precise measured color value through the use of a few batches by obtaining the inversion conversion relation of a sample value against the measured color value from the conversion relation of a sample value and the measured color value of the color batch based on the sample value and setting the sample value decided from the inversion conversion relation against the prescribed measured color value to be the input of a nonlinear model system. SOLUTION: A non-linear model parameter deciding means 28 decides non-linear model parameter for estimating a measured color value from the measured color value of an output batch 14. A measured color value estimating means 29 estimates the measured color value by using the obtained parameter. An LUT (CMY→XYZ) generation means 65 stores the result of the measured color value estimating means 29 in LUT. A non-linear masking parameter deciding means 66 decides the parameter of nonlinear masking, which is the inversion conversion of the obtained linear interpolation value of LUT, by using it. A device output estimating means 67 estimates a printer output value by using obtained parameter.
