PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reflection type liquid crystal display device with which projections are hardly generated on the surface of display electrodes consisting of Al (aluminum) and a bright display may be obtd. by improving mirror fin ished surface reflectivity. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device is constituted by successively laminating gate electrodes 11, a gate insulating film 12, an active layer 14 having sources 14s and drains 14d, an interlayer insulating film 15 and a planatarization insulating film 17 on an insulative substrate 10 consisting of the Al. The planatarization insulating film 17 is provided with the display electrodes 18 connected to the sources 14s. The display electrodes 18 consist of the Al and the rear surfaces of the display electrodes 18 are provided with rear surface electrodes 41 consisting of Mo(molybdenum) or Ti(titanium) which is a high melting metal, by which the generation of the projections on the front surfaces of the display electrodes 18 is prevented. The mirror finished surface reflectivity of the display electrodes 18 is thereby improved and the bright display is obtd. |
