摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desired catalytic activation effect by choosing between a normal transmission map for catalytic activation and a catalytic warm-up promotion-oriented transmission map for catalytic deactivation depending on catalytic activity. SOLUTION: For a continuously variable transmission the transmission ratio of which is controlled in dependence on a transmission map so that an actual transmission ratio Ratio matches a target transmission ratio Ratio0, in accordance with the decision results of a catalytic activity decision part 71-l for determining whether the catalyst is activated or not, a transmission map selection part 71-2 chooses between a normal transmission map and a catalytic warm-up promotion-oriented transmission map, and a switching condition decision part 71-3 determines whether variations resulting from transmission map switching exceeds a reference switching value or not, or whether switching conditions are met or not, and allows the map switching only when the switching conditions are met. The catalytic warm-up promotion-oriented transmission map uses transmission ratios shifted to higher engine speed than in the normal transmission map in a lower speed range and a lower load range requiring catalytic activation, to thereby activate the catalyst efficiently.
