PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly increase speed when needed by providing a quick acceleration means for increasing a current as compared with the power of a motor corresponding to the amount of operation of an accelerator button by a driver's operation in a device for controlling the power of the motor. SOLUTION: A quick acceleration means is composed of an automatic run control means 42, an acceleration method selection means 45, a quick acceleration switch 49 and the like, and sends a quick acceleration signal from the quick acceleration switch 49 to a motor output operation means 41. Then, the automatic control means 42 of the motor output operation means 41 is set to a quick acceleration mode by the quick acceleration signal, a motor 3 is rotated in a rotating region being near a performance limit, and a quick acceleration current for maximizing the power of the motor is supplied to the motor 3. In this manner, for the power of the motor 3 a current value is increased as compared with the power of the motor corresponding to the amount of operation of an acceleration lever, thus reducing power consumption, and providing quick acceleration when needed. |
