PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth transmission control by preventing control divergence when a profile-varying precess cam is employed. SOLUTION: This transmission control device, which is for a continuously variable transmission 10 whose transmission ratio is continuously variable by a transmission mechanism actuated by a step motor 4, and by a mechanical feedback system with a gain varied near the highest or lowest point, comprises an electronic feedback system for computing command values that bring an actual transmission ratio at a target. The electronic feedback system has a cam-canceled feedback part 70 for canceling the mechanical feedback gain. The cam-canceled feedback part 70 has a steep correction part 76 for canceling the mechanical feedback gain only in a range between the highest and lowest transmission ratios.
