PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device at the time of welding the tab and lid of, e.g. a battery in which the tab and lid can be positioned without requiring any expensive, large-scale image recognition device and giving a recognition mark to the tab in a manufacture process wherein the lid is welded to the tab. SOLUTION: The distance between the edge of the tab 121 stood on an electrode assembly 150, and a reference position 18 is detected at the root part 21 and an intermediate part and the tilt of the tab 121 is detected, and a control part 19 controls an X-axial moving means 12, a Y-axial moving means 13, and an angle adjusting means 15 according to the respective detected values to perform positioning. According to detected values of at least two places of the edge of a 1st plate body (tab), a correction value for the angle of a 2nd plate body (lid) to the 1st plate body is calculated to correct the angle, so the fitting angle of the tab can accurately be corrected without requiring any expensive image recognizing device and writing recognition marks.
