PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the discrepancy of the indicating position of a pointer, even when an external impact is applied and enable the smooth turn of a pointer, even when a sudden input signal is received. SOLUTION: A yoke unit 11 of a stepping motor 1 has bobbins 6 in which coils 5 are wound, a magnet rotor 9 which is fixed to rotary shaft 7 extended along the axis of the bobbins 6 and provided rotatably in the hollow parts 8 of the bobbins 6, and a combtooth-shaped yoke 10 which is provided so as to be layered with the bobbins 6 and gives the fields of the coils 5 to the magnet rotor 9. A pointer 4 is attached to the rotary shaft 7 of the magnet rotor 9. A braking means 17 which increases a braking force produced by damper oil DP is provided to be brought into contact with the rotary shaft 7 or the magnet rotor 9.
