PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor and a motor-driven blower using the same, wherein a sufficient insulation distance between the corner portion of its rotor core and its rotor coil can be secured, without excessively increasing the weight of its end-surface insulating member and its rotor coil. SOLUTION: A motor used in a motor-driven blower has a rotor, having a rotor core 16 wherein a plurality of magnetic-pole teeth 16b are protruded from the peripheral surface of a circular core-base portion 16a circumferentially at equal pitches, side-surface insulating members 17, each of which is provided between the magnetic-pole teeth 16b, 16b and contacts the side surfaces of both the magnetic-pole teeth 16b, 16b, a plate-form end-surface insulating member 18 which has a base-portion insulating plate-portion 18a, contacted with the end surface of the core-base portion 16a and a tooth insulating plate-portion 18b contacted with the end surfaces of the magnetic-pole teeth 16b, and rotor coils 19 wound around the magnetic-pole teeth 16b via the insulating members 17, 18. In this rotor, the wall thickness of the base-portion insulating plate- portion 18a of the end-surface insulating member 18 is made larger than the wall thickness of the tooth insulating plate-portion 18b.
