A spindle mower comprises a running gear 4, running wheels 5,(6,fig.2) and a rotary mounted blade roller 10 which can be brought into drive connection with at least one wheel of the running gear by means of a running gear transmission (15,fig.2) with a free wheel mechanism (19,fig.2). An electric motor (25,fig.3) may alternatively or additionally be brought into connection with the blade roller by means of a motor transmission 24 equipped with a separate freewheel mechanism (28,fig.3). As a result of the separate freewheel mechanism, it is possible to automatically switch to the drive type which produces the fastest rotation of the blade roller. |
