PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a superior charging discharging cycle characteristic and superior electric capacity per unit volume, in which an applied film mixed with an active material and a binder does not peel off an electrode metallic base material when turned and the applied film itself as sufficient strength. SOLUTION: This negative electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is provided with a negative electrode mixture containing a negative electrode active material carrier and a binder, and a metallic foil charge collector holding the negative electrode mixture. The binder is a mixture with at least one kind of polyester amide, butyral resin, vinyl acetate resin and polyvinyl chloride acetate copolymer. Preferably, the polyester amide is one with the melting point being 150 deg.C or higher, the heat of crystal fusion is 3 mJ or more per 1 mg and limiting viscosity is 0.35 to 2 dL/g. The degree of swelling of an organic solvent used for electrolyte is 5 to 180 wt.%. |
