PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic disk apparatus which can immediately deal with a mounting operation onto a system enclosure even when it is required to change the combination of a continuity operation with an insulating operation. SOLUTION: Mounting parts 4 which comprise mounting holes 5 communicating with the inside of an enclosure are formed on the side face and the bottom face of the base 2 of an apparatus enclosure. Parts near introduction parts of the mounting holes 5 in the mounting parts 4 are insulated by an insulator 7. Thereby, screws 8a having a length up to insulating parts in the mounting holes 5 and screws 8b having a length exceeding the insulating parts are used selectively. The base 2 is fixed to the chassis 100 of a system. Thereby, the combination of a continuity operation with an insulating operation can be changed over simply.
