PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device outputting a video signal synchronized with a video signal inputted from the outside. SOLUTION: The output of a solid-state imaging device 10 is made into a video signal based on a position through a camera signal processing means 11 and it is outputted through an adder 13. The frame head position of a video signal obtained from the outside is detected by a frame detection means 14 and it is given to a clock pulse generation means 12. The clock pulse generation means 12 generates the driving signal of the solid-state imaging device 10, the driving signal s14 of the camera signal processing means 11 and a synchronizing signal so that they can be synchronized with the matching signal of the frame. Thus, the video signal synchronized with the outer video signal can be outputted.
