PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the portable telephone set where an outer shell of the telephone set is easily designed and produced and its aesthetic outward appearance is enhanced. SOLUTION: A projection 27 to lock a battery outer shell 22 with an outer shell rear part 21 is inserted to an insertion hole 28 that is used to insert a SIM card 5 to a card support base 30 placed in a board interior space 29 of the outer shell rear part 21 so that insertion/withdrawal of the SIM card 5 to/from the board interior space 29 and locking of the battery outer shell 22 to the outer shell rear part 21 are conducted by using the same insertion hole 28. Furthermore, a tip of a slide lever 33 that pushes the SIM card 5 supported by the card support base 30 externally through the insertion hole 28 is in press contact with the projection 27 to be inserted to the insertion hole 28 and the same slide lever 33 releases the engagement of the battery outer shell 22 with the outer shell rear part 21 and extracts the SIM card 5 from the board interior space 29 externally.
