A power tool (10) housing (14) supported handle (70) moves and pivots relative to the housing and supports a switch which moves with the handle and selectively connects a housing supported power tool element driving motor to a power source. A locking assembly (82) operates between a locked position, where the handle is pivotally fixed relative to the housing, and an unlocked position where the handle can be pivoted and the switch is prevented from connecting the motor to the power source. An Independent claim is included for a circular saw.
