摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simulatively experience a touch on the surface of an object. SOLUTION: Inside an object information setting means 10, shape data, texture data, light source data, a function f(t) of time (t) and hardness K for defining a prescribed virtual object are set. This device is prepared with a force transducer 50 having an operating part 51 fixed on the finger of an operator so as to be moved in any arbitrary direction, position detecting part 52 for detecting the position of this operating part 51 on a three-dimensional(3D) coordinate system and force generating part 53 for applying reaction force to the operating part 51 based on the instruction of an arithmetic control means 40. A display 20 displays a virtual object B and a position P of the operating part. When the operating part 51 enters the virtual object B, the arithmetic control means 40 finds the reaction force of a level obtd. by multiplying the hardness K by a function value provided by substituting the time (t) from the entrance for the function f(t) and operates this reaction force to the operating part 51.</p>
