PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide functions of good operability even if electronic image pickup devices are used in combination. SOLUTION: An installation part on which a recording medium 3 for recording image information is installed, a connection means to which a monitor 2 for displaying image information is electrically connected, detection means 11 and 21 detecting that the monitor 2 is connected to the connection means and control means 11 and 21 which set at least the function of the camera 1 in response to an operation of an applied remote controller 4 are provided in this device. When the connection of the monitor 2 is detected by the detection means, the control means preferentially set the function of the camera.
