PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a music box with a projecting function which can sharply display various images on the lid body, etc. SOLUTION: This is a music box with a projecting function which has a projecting device 20 mounted on a music box main body 10 and displays an images on the lid body 11 of the music box main body 10 by the projecting device 20. The projecting device 20 is constituted including an image memory 1 which stores image data to be displayed, an image processing circuit 2 which processes the image data, a laser beam source array 3 which is integrated on a silicon chip, and a diffracting lens 4 which diffracts the laser beam outputted from the laser beam source array 3. The image processing circuit 2 performs a reverse converting process for the laser beam converted optically by the diffracting lens 4 and the laser beam diffracted by the diffracting lens 4 is projected on the lid body 11 to display the image.
