PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multistage gear that suppresses and blocks vibration, and an image forming device that prevents any degradation in image quality resulting from vibrations of gears. SOLUTION: A multistage gear 60 is combined from a plurality of gears, such as a first gear 61 and a second gear 62. The material of the second gear 62 is smaller in Young's modulus than that of the first gear 61. The multistage gear 60 is applied to a gear driving mechanism for driving a photosensitive drum in an electrophotographic image forming device to suppress vibration and resultantly improve the image quality and reduce vibration-based noise.
