PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably form a tight metal coat by laminating a lower part metal coat through an electroless plating method and an upper part metal coat through an electrolytic plating method on a mold surface. SOLUTION: A rare earth alloy powder and an organic binder are mixed, which filles a die within a molder to form a mold. After that, a lower part metal coat is formed on the surface of the mold by an electroless plating method. Then, an upper part metal coat is laminated on the lower part metal coat by an electrolytic plating method, which is magnetized to provide a magnet. Here, the total thickness of coats of the lower and upper part metal coats is about 4-20 μm. The lower part metal coat is Ni, Cu, Zn, or Sn or an alloy whose main component is either of them while the upper part metal coat is Cr, Co, or Ni, or an alloy whose main component is either of them. Thus, an even and tight metal coat is stably formed. |
