PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily decide the type of an image by detecting plural mark elements out of an inputted image and deciding the presence or absence of a specific mark based on the relation among those detected mark elements. SOLUTION: When a copy start key is pushed by an operator, a 1st sheet of original is scanned. Then the copying operation is controlled according to whether a specific mark is detected in the scanned original. For instance, 'mark 1' is printed on each of originals 802, 805 and 809 and these originals are not copied and skipped based on the mark recognition results. Meanwhile, 'mark 2' is printed on an original 806 and the pages starting at and after the original 806 are page aligned and copied based on the mark recognition result. Furthermore, 'mark 3' is printed on each of originals 802, 805 and 809' and these originals are not copied and skipped based on the mark recognition results. Meanwhile, 'mark 4' is printed on an original 806' and the pages starting at and after the original 806' are page aligned and copied based on the mark recognition result. |
