PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gas meter support metal fitting having large degree of freedom for fitting a gas meter especially in a pipe shaft, and capable of being manufactured in a low cost. SOLUTION: An inlet side connecting pipe 11 and an outlet side connecting pipe 18 are fitted to a metal fitting body 1 comprising a horizontal support part 2 and a back board part 3, and a gas meter A is fitted to the connecting pipes 11, 18. In a pipe shaft, the gas meter A is fitted directly to a wall or a gas pipe by using fitting holes 8, 9 on the back board part 3, a screw or a U-bolt or the like, or to the metal fitting body 1 fixed on a C-type channel or a pipe.
