PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber fixing structure of a ferrule capable of greatly improving the working efficiency required for fixing of an optical fiber and the ferrule. SOLUTION: The optical fiber fixing structure of the ferrule is a structure for adhering and fixing the ferrule 21 which is fitted to the optical fiber 1 exposed with a coated fiber 2 from a coating 3 and is internally compounded with housing parts 22, 23 having two large and small bores for the coating 3 and the coated fiber 2 so as to pass the same from one end 21a to the other end 21b and the optical fiber 1. The housing part 22 of the large bore D3 is provided with a build-up 24 constituting the bore D4 smaller than the diameter D2 of the coating 3 at the front end such that the coating 3 is temporally fixed to the housing part 22 in a press-fitting state. The housing part 22 is adapted to be formed with a groove 25 extending in the axial direction of the housing part 22.
