POSITIVE ELECTRODE PLATE FOR LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode plate for a lead-acid battery improving the cycle characteristic and high electric discharge characteristic of a lead-acid battery. SOLUTION: This positive electrode for a lead-acid battery comprises a grating body filled with a paste that a lead powder a, mainly consisting of minium, and a lead powder b, mainly consisting of lead monoxide are mixed with a mixing liquid mainly consisting of sulfuric acid. The average particle diameter of the lead powder a is 6μm or less. The lead powder b contains 15 to 30 wt.% of metallic lead. The major axis/minor axis ratio of the metallic lead particle is set to 1 to 5.
