PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a screen set constituted of three or more kind of screens provided with a screen angle and a screen line number for generating no moire and designing the screen set in an image area. SOLUTION: In this formation method, when the spectrum arrangement for taking a rational tangent (tanθ=p/q) in a spatial frequency area is transformed to unit area arrangement in the image area, the finite number of unit areas provided with the inclination of the rational tangent are included in a quadrilateral area without the inclination constituted of the finite number of picture elements (βpq,βpq) and the quadrilateral area is defined as a minimum repetition pattern.
