PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a road shape information input and storage device capable of preparing a database for the entire road by efficiently inputting and storing linear information on the road such as the radius of curvature of the road and road structure information such as the number of lanes and the width of lanes, from a road construction drawing or the like. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an information input means 11 for inputting numerical information or character information, road model generating means 12 for modeling the road by combining road elements obtd. by decomposing the road to the finite number of elements, road shape generating means 13 for generating the road shape information by applying road attribute information such as linear road information to respective road elements composing the road model, data storage means 14 for storing the road shape information generated by the road shape generating means, and information display means 15 for displaying inputted or generated information.
