PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently, reliably and automatically distributing digital data and information to plural end nodes in a network. SOLUTION: When combining a system for automatically generating and maintaining a connected multicast tree without a loop with application layer multicast selecting the adjacent nodes by respective new nodes and joining the multicast tree by adding the selected adjacent node to an adjacent node list as the master node, the respective nodes obey the rules, that (1) the respective nodes excluding a route node not provided with the master node maintain only one master node at all times and (2) when a certain node selects the master node, when the node for which a route path includes the certain node is identified as a slave side node and the sequence of the master nodes for leading from the slave side node to the route node is defined as the route path, the certain node never selects the slave side node as the master node.
