PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the reduction of tape clamping force in storage or usage by forming the clamp member of a leader pin for leading a tape using a synthetic resin material whose load deflection temperature is at a specific temperature or higher. SOLUTION: A leader pin consists of a metallic core shaft part 15 with a thin shaft part 12 and flanges 13 and 14 in one piece at both ends and an elastic clamp member 16 made of synthetic resin for composing a tape clamp part along with the core shaft part 15 while being fitted to the outer periphery from the side. The clamp member 16 is provided with a slit 16a being extended in an axial direction over the entire length and has a C-shaped sectional shape, the tip part of a magnetic tape 10 is included between the inner surface and the outer-periphery surface of the core shaft part 15, the clamp member 16 is elastically fitted to the outer periphery of the core shaft part 15 through a strip 16a, and the tip part of the magnetic tape 10 is elastically clamped. The clamp member 16 is formed by a synthetic resin material whose loading deflection temperature is 130 deg.C or higher or a synthetic resin material whose melting temperature or flexibility point is 220 deg.C or higher.
