PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-refresh control device by which the transition of a DRAM to a self-refresh mode is performed easily. SOLUTION: In a self-refresh control device for a DRAM, a DRAM 2 which comprises a refresh mode and a self-refresh mode is provided, an image-display control part 8 which controls the ordinary mode, the refresh mode and the self-refresh mode of the DRAM 2 is provided, a transition control part 1 in which a first timing used to control the shift of the image-display control part 8 to the self-refresh mode from the refresh mod is given to a request to stop the supply of the power supply of the image-display control part 8 and in which a second timing used to control the shift of the image-display control part 8 to the refresh mode from the self-refresh mode is given to a request to turn on the power supply of the image-display control part 8 is provided, and an external circuit 2A which prevents the self-refresh mode of the image-display control part 8 from becoming indefinite with reference to the DRAM 2 due to the stop of the power supply of the image-display control part 8 is provided.
