PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the plate wear, to prevent contamination of a blanket, contamination of the base and contamination when the operation is stopped, and to enable printing with excellent reproducibility. SOLUTION: This printing plate is produced by forming a photosensitive layer on the surface of a metal supporting body which is subjected to roughening treatment and anodic oxidation. In this method, the relative load curve obtd. by measuring the surface of the metal supporting body by a probe-type surface roughness meter satisfies the following conditions (1) and (2). (1) The depth of the intercept (Y-intercept) on the relative curve at 50% contact rate is 1 to 3 times the average surface roughness Ra. (2) The contact rate on the intercept (X-intercept) with the relative load curve at 50% depth of the whole depth is >=85%. |
