SOLUTION: In a humidifier composed of an evaporating dish 3 evaporating water using a main body case 1, a water tank 2, and a heater 5, a humidity sensor 8, a control device 9 controlling the operation of the heater 5, and an operation part 10 setting a humidification operation mode, the operation part 10 is provided with a humidity detection mode setting key 13 during a shutdown and an indicator lamp lightened by setting, an intermittent humidity detection is executed during a shutdown by the control device 9, and when the humidity becomes a specific humidity or less, the indicator lamp is lightened, or warning is made through an alarm unit.
