Measuring method for brake force in motor vehicles reduces brake force on front axle, and increases brake force on rear axle, dependant upon steering angle

The device measures the brake force on front and rear axle of a vehicle stopped by automatic brake engagement. The brake force (BVA) on the front axle is reduced by applying a steering movement to the wheels of that axle. The brake force (BHA) on the rear axle is increased simultaniously, to compensate for the reduction on the front axle. The brake force is dimensioned dependent upon the steering angle ( alpha ) of the front wheels, the angle of inclination, or the mass of the vehicle. The brake force for the rear axle is at least partially generated by a parking brake.
