<p>A herbicidal composition containing as the active ingredient 2-chloro-4-fluoro-5-(4-methyl-5-trifluoromethyl-3-pyridazinon-2-yl)phenyl C1-C5 noncyclic hydrocarbyl ether and 4'-fluoro-N-isopropyl-2-(5-trifluoromethyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yloxy)-acetanilide, and a method for killing weeds with the above composition. The composition, when applied to soil or weeds, can effectively kill various weeds grown in agricultural soil or non-agricultural soil, has synergistically increased herbicidal activity as compared with the single use of each of the ingredients, can be applied at a low dose, can broaden a weed-killing spectrum, and can kill a wide spectrum of weeds without such a harmful effect as will poses problems in crops particularly in wheat fields, barley fields, oat fields, rye fields, and corn fields.</p> |
