The control panel (8) is enclosed by a fascia (14) having a through opening for the operating elements (8). The fascia can be lowered from a rest position where it closes flush with the end side of the panel on the side facing the operator into a release position giving access to the controls. The displacement of the fascia can be effected by a switch unit (7). The fascia can be set in a frame running flush with the fascia when the latter is in the rest position.
