Rotative moment from the motor is taken up by the front cover (14) to which the impeller casing (3) is secured as fitted out with inside blades (6). The stator (20) lies within a fluid processing chamber (C) between the radial parts of casing (22) and the turbine casing (19) and there is a block and bridging coupling (7) between front cover and turbine casing. The coupling includes a piston (44) to define a first hydraulic chamber (B) between piston and cover as opposed to a second hydraulic chamber arranged between piston and turbine casing. The radially outwards part of the turbine casing has a radially extending flange (61) used to define a fluid path between work chamber (A) and second chamber. The flange extends outwards via an axially directed blade edge.
