A procedure for controlling the inside temperature of a parked IC engine-driven car has the following steps: - to establish whether the energy supply for the control device (6) that executes the process is present and if not present, to set in motion the generation device for energy - to detect the car's inside temperature - to discriminate about the operation of the air-conditioning plant via the given table. The procedure is put into action by the driver of the car and is time-controlled. It is put into action by an external signal (radio, telephone). The device to execute the procedure has an air-conditioning plant serving for heat extraction out of the cabin with a compressor (1), evaporator (4), control device (5) and fan for the transport of cooled air from the evaporator into the cabin.
