The flower stem can be inserted into the tubular shaped protection device either by using the openings at the upper and the lower end or by opening the device alongside. The protection device comes in various shapes to match the size and the level of softness and rigidness of the stem. The protection device can also be funnel shaped at the upper end to accommodate a heavy flowerhead or it can have vertical flexible parts which help to keep the flower in a bent position to fit into a specific flower arrangement. It can be made of clear or coloured synthetic or natural material.
