The cylinder lock has a ball fitted in the interior at the pressure bolt, and directly in front of the locking lever. The key presses the ball towards the locking lever which releases the anchor, to allow the locking lever to rotate. The ball, with a dia. of 8 mm, can be taken from worn ball bearings.
