The controller (1) includes an analog multiplexer (3) for inputting measured pressure signals from several pressure sensors (2) to each of which a channel number is assigned. An analog-to-digital converter (4) converts a measured pressure signal from one of the sensors selected by the multiplexer into a digital value. An arithmetic and control unit (5) outputs a selection signal to the multiplexer, displays the digital value and its channel number, compares a threshold stored in advance for that channel number, and provides an indication based on the output of the comparison on an alarm indicator lamp (8) having the corresponding channel number.
