摘要 To draw continuous sliver material and lay the drawn sliver in a can at the can filling station, the can to be filled with sliver is moved at the side towards the rotary axis of the can change mechanism. The intermittent action of the can change mechanism is matched to the rotation of the can support plate so that the sliver length is fed into the can until it is filled and then transferred to the replacement empty can at the rotating support plate. The empty can is given an initial rotary speed acceleration from the time that the full can is removed from the rotating support plate until the fresh can reaches the rotating plate, when the speed of the rotating empty can matches the rotary speed of the support plate. During the sliver can exchange, the gap is reduced at the filling station between empty can being fed in and the full can leaving the station. The empty can is brought into the filling station from the waiting position on a shorter path than the can exchange movement path, with a linear movement for at least part of the path between the waiting position and the can filling position. An Independent claim is included for a sliver can filling station where the gap (a1) between the rotary axis (A1) of the rotating plate (8) and the rotary axis (A2) of the can exchange unit (5) is at max. equal to the gap (a2) between the center point (M) of the sliver can (7) at the rotating plate (8) zone and the exchange unit axis (A2). Preferred Features: The rotating plate (8) is at the advancing can zone (7v) of the can (7) to be filled, in relation to the can (7) in the filling position (II). The gaps (a1,a2) between the cans (70,71) at the waiting position (I) and/or ejection position (III) and the exchange unit (5) rotary axis (A2) are larger than the gap between the can (7) at the filling station (II) and the exchange unit axis (A2). The can movement path (9) has a linear stretch (94) between the waiting (I) and filling (II) positions. The rotating can support plate (8) and the can exchange unit (5) rotate in the same direction (f1,f2). The drives for the rotating plate (5) and the can exchange unit (5) are operated together for the three cans (7,70,71) so that the sliver feed (80) at the rotating plate (8) follows the ejection movement direction of the filled can (7) from the filling position (II) until it leaves the plate (8). The sliver feed (80) is retracted towards the incoming can (70) into the filling station (II) until it is at the empty can. A monitor (62) is at the rotating plate (8), linked to the control (6) for the can exchange unit (5). The assembly has a longitudinal platform (24,25) with a moving part-platform (240,250). In the working position, it extends as far as the can exchange unit (5) at each location where, during the can (7) filling operation it is required neither by a can (7,70,71) nor a section of the can exchange (5) and, in the rest position, releases the can exchange (5). The part platform (240,250) has a monitor (64,640) linked to the control (6). The control (6) for the can exchange unit (5) has a connected alarm system (66), activated at a set time before a can exchange, and a time setter (67). The feed side of the drawing unit (2) has a direct link with the outlet side of a textile machine. A sliver guide plate is at the entry into the drawing unit (2), to take in the sliver to be drawn. A sliver storage buffer can be between the sliver prodn. machine and the sliver drawing unit (2).
