The invented process for preparing amylose from pea is characterized in that pea is dried, ground and optionally screened, whereby 10 to 100 mM of sodium hydroxide functioning as a liquid decomposing agent are added in the soluble fractions of protein and insoluble fractions of polysaccharide and the flour is stirred. Subsequently phase of solid substances contained in the liquid protein and polysaccharide phase is separated, the solid substance phase is put into water. From polysaccharides contained in water raw fibers and/or residual protein are separated by at least two screening processes, from which the first is carried out by employing a bow screen and the other one by a jet scrubber and the liquid phase is decomposed. The solid substance containing amylose without protein are dried after optional washing, whereby amylose content in pea ranges within 70 to 93 percent by weight and the jet scrubber sieve or sieve cage mesh size is in the range of 50 to 90 micrometers, preferably 75 micrometers, whereby the sieve cage angle of inclination ranges between 15 to 45 degrees, preferably 20 degrees. So obtained pea amylose is treatable in hot state without addition of water and a softening agent. The thermoplastically treatable polysaccharide composition consists of 50 to 90 percent by weight amylose obtained by employing the process according to the present invention and at least one another material of vegetable origin in the form of flour.
|
