<p>This invention relates to a lock assembly to be used in conjunction with two or more padlock assemblies. The lock assembly comprises a main body (1), a main shackle (2), and a locking portion (7). When all subsidiary padlocks (5 , 6) are locked into the apertures (3, 4) the main shackle (2) cannot be opene d. The removal of either subsidiary shackle allows the locking portion (7) to circumvent the second subsidiary shackle and the main shackle (2) may be opened. This allows two persons to independently use the padlock without sharing keys or other secure information. Moreover the lock assembly may be used with any secure fitting designed for use with a traditional padlock.</S DOAB></p> |
