PURPOSE:To confirm the presence state of a defect in the whole of the surface to be inspected of a sheet like article to be inspected. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 31 counts the number of the defects present on a surface to be inspected at every block unit on the basis of the detection data from a defect detection part 10 and the detection signal from a length detector 20. The number of defects at every block unit counted by the CPU 31 is written in or read from the storage region of an RAM 34 by setting a pointer for indicating the address showing the storage region of the RAM 34 by the CPU 31. A graphic control part 41 makes the surface to be inspected graphic at every block unit on the basis of the number of defect at every block unit stored in the RAM 34 and the surface to be inspected made graphic is displayed on the screen of a CRT 42 as an inspection result. |
