A concrete block for dry walling has a rectangular shape with the length a discrete number of times the width. Vertical holes are arranged in a set pattern through each block with the hole diameter between1/6 and 1/5 the width of the block. The round holes are threaded by tie bars (3) to which hoists can be attached to transfer the block. The holes are formed by tube inserts held in place when the block is poured using a heavy concrete mix.
