Method and system for control locating of network components in a telecommunication system, including a mobile network 1 and an intelligent network 2 combined with it. A first DB1 and a second DB2 database outside the mobile network 1 and the intelligent network 2 is created and important subscriber data is registered in it. The control of the first DB1 and the second DB2 database is separated from the control of the mobile network 1 and the intelligent network 2. The first database DB1 is combined with the mobile network 1 and the second database DB2 is combined with the intelligent network 2 and services are provided to the mobile subscribers by means of the created databases DB1, DB2 by using the existing mobile 1 and intelligent networks 2. The first outer database DB1 corresponds in its function to the database portion of a mobile network's 1 home register HLR and the second outer database DB2 to the data point SDP of the intelligent network 2. The interface 15 between the outer databases DB1, DB2 and the mobile network 1 and the intelligent network 2 is formed by using a database protocol in real-time, such as X.500. <IMAGE>
