PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily accomodate a hand switch and an operation switch cords and to improve the usability of the hand switch by selectively connecting the hand switch for operating an electrically driven floor part rise and fall mechanism to one of connection relay means mounted on the side fences on both sides of a bed. SOLUTION: When the hand switch is used, an user stretches to operate the hand switch in a state that the user lies on the bottom of a bed, and operates a switch unit 18 of a switch unit casing 11 for adjusting the inclination and the rise and fall of a floor part. On this occasion, when it is difficult to operate the hand switch in a condition that it is mounted on a fence part 5 of the accommodation-type side fence, the switching unit casing 11 is demounted from a holding member 10b of a switch holder 10, and its signal cable 16 is pulled out from a basic part 10a against the winding force to operate the same. A protective cap member 13 is screwed into a threaded hole 14 of a recessed part 9 formed on the fence part 5 on the side where the hand switch is not mounted for preventing an exposed connector 15 from being splashed with water or the like.
