PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp a reproduction sequence or the like visually even when a management form is adopted to collect thumbnail images representing each video recording file into a group (folder) in the thumbnail display. SOLUTION: As to five thumbnail images 401 in the reproduction orders (3)-(7), they are displayed collectively by a group surrounding frame to present the thumbnail images so as to grasp visually that they are thumbnail images (video recording files) belonging to one group. A group tab 403 representing the group name is displayed in a form as shown in figure. Furthermore, as the group display, an expansion display to expand and to present the thumbnail images included in the group and a closed display to present only representative images as the group are attained. Then the group display as above is conducted in the thumbnail display according to the reproduction sequence to the end so as to grasp the relation between the group and the reproduction sequence (that is, directory) before and after visually.
