<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and surely position and align tips of sheets without depending on the number of stacked sheet, prevent the deformation of a sheet to be discharged, and dispense with an extra force at the time of sheet discharge. SOLUTION: When a sheet 51 is supplied on a support member 3 to form a stacked condition of the sheets 51, a curve which does not go upward on the sheet tip side but faces upward is given to a rear end side part of the stacked sheet by a curve formation means 2d by utilizing the weight of the stacked sheet so that a curve effective for the sheet stack can be formed irrespective of the number of sheets. A tip of the sheet stack is brought into contact with a contact member 2e to align the tips thereof accurately and surely. On the other hand, when this sheet stack is held, the curve is removed from the sheet stack by a curve removing means 6a so that the sheets stacked by aligning tips accurately and surely can be held and discharged in a horizontal condition.</p> |
