PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wash water volume varable stool including a function to give prior to automatic adjustment and control of running volume and/or flow rate of wash water for flushing after stool filth simply from outside of a flush tank. SOLUTION: A flush toilet is provided with a device capable of changing the running volume (the whole volume) of wash water for flushing after stool filth and/or a device capable of changing the running volume of wash water for flushing after stool filth. Thus it is possible for oneself to responsibly and freely set the running volume and/or flow rate of water for flushing the filth in light of the state of size, volume, viscosity and the like of his own excreted filth or social situation such as water shortage.
