PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently obtain a conjugated diene-based block copolymer by polymerizing a conjugated diene monomer using an organic lithium compound as an initiator in a hydrocarbon solvent, followed by reacting the obtained polymer with an isobutylenebased polymer. SOLUTION: This copolymer is obtained by polymerizing or copolymerizing a conjugated diene monomer using an organic lithium compound as an initiator in a hydrocarbon solvent, followed by reacting the active ends of the obtained conjugated diene polymer with an isobutylene-based polymer whose ends were modified. It is preferable that the conjugated diene-based polymer is a homopolymer from a conjugated diene monomer or a copolymer from conjugated diene monomers. It is preferable that the isobutylene-based polymer whose ends were modified is polyisobutylene which was alkoxysilane modified, and contains one or two alkoxysilyl group(s) per one molecule of polyisobutylene. It is preferable that the molecular weight of the conjugated diene-based polymer is 1,000-30,000.
