摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new phosphinic acid having crosslinking (meth)acryl group, in which all phosphor bonds consist of a P-C bond, capable of improving functions such as heat resistance, hydrolytic resistance, weather resistance, etc., which don't exist in a conventional phosphate-type modifier when used in a polymeric material, and useful as a modifier for various organic polymeric materials. SOLUTION: This new phosphinic acid having crosslinking (meth)acryl group is expressed by formula I [R1 is H or methyl; A and B are each a 3-10C alkylene] and is e.g. bis(3-acryloyloxypropyl)phosphinic acid. The compound of formula I is obtained by reacting hypophosphorous acid (or its salt) with an unsaturated alcohol in an alcoholic solvent in the presence of a radical initiator to obtain a hydroxyalkylphosphinic acid of formula II and then by reacting the compound of formula II with an unsaturated alcohol in the presence of a radical initiator to obtain a bis(hydroxylkyl)phosphinic acid, followed by reacting it with a (meth)acrylic halide.
